Text: Deuteronomy 10:12–22

INTRODUCTION

After the failure of the people, God does not ask what they deserve, but: “What does the Lord require of you?”

MAIN IDEA

God requires a whole-life response of trust and obedience flowing from grace.

I. GOD REQUIRES A TOTAL RELATIONSHIP (vv.12–13)

  • fear
  • walk
  • love
  • serve
  • obey

“God does not ask for fragments of your life, but your whole life.”

II. GOD GROUNDS HIS REQUIREMENTS IN GRACE (vv.14–15)

  • total sovereignty
  • loving choice

“You don’t obey to be loved—you obey because you are loved.”

III. GOD DESIRES A TRANSFORMED HEART (v.16)

  • not ritual only
  • not behavior only
  • but inner change

“God does not seek outward conformity without inward transformation.”

IV. GOD REQUIRES A LIFE THAT REFLECTS HIS CHARACTER (vv.17–22)

  • justice
  • mercy
  • care for the vulnerable

“True faith is visible in how you treat others.”

CONCLUSION

Under Christ’s yoke:
– you live fully
– you respond to grace
– you are transformed
– you reflect God’s character
